About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Professional Land Surveyor to join our Community Development group in Sacramento, CA. As a Senior Land Surveyor, you will play a key role in providing geospatial services to our clients, including boundary, topographic, ALTA surveys, construction staking, control surveys, and platting on land development projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development and Client Management: Develop and maintain relationships with clients, identify new business opportunities, and oversee the financial details and performance of survey projects.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple surveying and mapping projects, including scope, schedule, and budgets, as well as personnel and resources.
  • Survey Operations: Oversee the coordination of survey efforts with clients and other professionals within Stantec, perform survey project quality control and quality assurance, and direct, develop, evaluate, and mentor survey staff.
  • Market Stantec's Services: Promote Stantec's geospatial services to potential clients and partners.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Professional Land Surveyor: Must be a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor in the state of California.
  • Knowledge and Experience: Requires knowledge of local survey laws, surveying principles, techniques, and procedures, occupational hazards, and safety precautions. A minimum of 10 years of land surveying experience and 5 years of experience in a supervisory capacity are required.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation, and a valid driver's license and good driving record.
