Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design and implement efficient and secure network solutions for our IT team. As a key member of our team, you will apply advanced design principles and methodologies to ensure the integrity and security of our network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level network solutions, including network architecture, security protocols, and infrastructure.
- Maintain network and security standards, documentation, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Collaborate with IT teams to analyze security risks and propose mitigation strategies and improvement projects.
- Analyze and maintain network capacity and performance requirements, monitoring systems for availability and performance.
- Identify, test, and implement patches and upgrades for network and security appliances.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians, ensuring the resolution of complex network issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on designing redundant and self-healing network solutions.
- Expert understanding and practical knowledge of TCP/IP, access-control lists, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
- Advanced competency in routing, switching, firewall, and VPN technologies on Cisco, Arista, and PaloAlto equipment.
- Experience in configuring and troubleshooting Firewalls, VPN Concentrators, and Security appliances.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS network technologies.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Technologies: Active Directory, Server Operating Systems, and Server Virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with HIPAA privacy/security standards and general security audit expectations.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer-focused with a passion for delivering effective solutions that enhance business operations.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and take ownership of multiple assignments.
