University of Utah Health is seeking a skilled Pulmonary Acute Care Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care to individuals with acute pulmonary conditions.
Responsibilities- Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients with acute pulmonary conditions, identifying their unique needs and developing personalized care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Medication Management: Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, monitoring patients for adverse reactions and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Education and Support: Provide patients and their families with education and support to promote self-management and improve health outcomes.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based practices.
- Current RN License: Possess a current RN license in the State of Utah or be eligible for licensure.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in acute care nursing, preferably in pulmonary medicine.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS and NRP certifications preferred.
- Skills: Strong assessment and critical thinking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
