Job Summary

Ameri-Force is seeking a highly skilled Pipefitter 1st Class to join our team. As a Pipefitter 1st Class, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems on board vessels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout requirements.
  • Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors, and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools.
  • Test system for leaks using testing equipment.
  • Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system.
  • Install clamps, brackets, and hangers to support piping system using hand and power tools.
  • Install pipe systems on board vessels in a safe and productive manner.
  • Rig equipment following all OSHA requirements.
  • Inspect work, identify potential problems, and initiate corrective actions.
  • Ensure correct work procedures are adhered to.
  • Perform as a productive working team member that meets daily goals set by the supervisor.
  • Must have a full set of personal tools.
  • Be ready to start shift on time.
  • Meet written and practical assessment requirements.
  • Use the metric system for calculations.
