Citigroup Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Operational Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our risk management function, you will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks that could impact our business.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Risk Management: Develop and implement effective operational risk management strategies to minimize losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Independently assess risks and drive actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses.
- Governance and Oversight: Provide governance and oversight of operational risk management processes, including technology operational risk, cyber risk, and other areas as needed.
- Performance Management: Serve as a subject matter expert for all performance issues that surface, and develop and implement corrective action plans to address these issues.
- Issue Management: Resolve transactional level escalations coming from vendors or internal partners, and analyze scorecards and performance management tools to mitigate exposure.
- Supply Chain Management: Monitor goals are met through performance, risk, and relationship oversight of our extended supply chain, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships across the business users and Lines of Defense to better understand and deliver customer requirements.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
- Education: Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years relevant experience in risk analysis, audit, or a related field.
- Skills: Outstanding communication and influencing skills, exceptional relationship management skills, ability to effectively communicate complex topics to a broad audience, and detailed-oriented analytical skills.
- Tools: Expert in Microsoft Office Tools, and product management experience preferred.
