Role Summary:
The Hepatologist at St. Luke's provides comprehensive medical care for patients with liver-related conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This role involves delivering high-quality, cost-effective healthcare while actively participating in initiatives aimed at improving patient satisfaction and overall performance.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough medical evaluations and physical examinations for all patients.
2. Deliver evidence-based, high-quality care while adhering to established medical protocols.
3. Maintain effective communication with referring physicians, patients, and their families.
4. Educate patients and their families about health management and disease prevention.
5. Assess and address patient healthcare needs, managing treatment plans based on individual assessments.
6. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, specialists, and community health agencies, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
7. Stay updated on current medical practices and maintain confidentiality regarding patient information.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:
This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods, stand for long durations, and perform physical tasks such as lifting and assisting patients. Visual and auditory capabilities are essential for effective patient interaction and care.

Qualifications:
1. Medical degree from an accredited institution, with completion of residency and/or fellowship in hepatology.
2. Current experience in the field of specialty.
3. Valid MD or DO license issued by the state medical board, with board certification or eligibility in hepatology.
