Position Summary:
In this role, you will operate with minimal oversight, managing product cost analysis, operational income statement details, and inventory evaluations. You will prepare all relevant reporting data, conduct financial analyses, and engage in special projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Core Duties:
- Compile and analyze reporting packages for the Manufacturing division.
- Evaluate product costing outcomes and discrepancies against standard costs.
- Contribute to the formulation of annual budgets for the Manufacturing division.
- Interpret financial performance results and propose strategies for cost reduction and profit enhancement.
- Deliver accurate data and seek continuous improvement in the quality of information provided, adapting to the evolving needs of the business.
- Engage with various stakeholders, including:
- Reporting to Finance leadership and senior management.
- Collaborating regularly with Operations leadership and supervisors.
- Interacting with management from other departments as necessary.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capable of presenting and reporting to Director and VP levels.
- Willingness to assume leadership roles in diverse projects.
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of five years in a professional setting focused on cost accounting, financial planning & analysis, or a related area.
- Experience in product costing and cost accounting functions.
- Robust understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
- Familiarity with SAP is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Fluency in English is required.
