Neurohospitalist - Neurosciences Institute

Atrium Health is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Neurologist to join our Neurohospitalist team at our flagship acute care facility and academic hub, Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center (CMC). As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a network of 70+ neurology providers across 21 care locations in the greater Charlotte region.
Responsibilities- Provide inpatient neurology care to patients at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center (CMC)
- Participate in the development and implementation of clinical programs and services
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Contribute to the education and training of medical students and residents
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research studies
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurology
- Vascular fellowship training (preferred)
- 7 on / 7 off schedule, 12-hour day shifts with nighttime at-home call with in-house Advanced Practice Provider (APP) coverage
- Academic faculty appointment with Wake Forest School of Medicine and teaching opportunities with medical students and residents
- Potential opportunity for leadership role within education as we seek to build a neurology residency program
