Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Child Care Regulation Inspector. As a key member of our Child Care Regulation department, you will be responsible for monitoring and investigating residential child-care facilities throughout the State of Texas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct facility inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with minimum standards and regulations.
  • Document findings and notify providers of required corrective or adverse actions.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to residential child-care providers on issues related to minimum standards.
  • Collaborate with providers, stakeholders, and the general public to promote compliance and improve child care services.
  • Respond to emergency complaints of high-risk situations in residential child-care facilities.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Texas laws relating to regulation of child-care and child abuse/neglect.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to initiate and participate in enforcement of regulations concerning child-care facilities.
  • Ability to evaluate facility's operations in relation to agency guidelines for management of child-care facilities.
