Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys, California. This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities for our patients
- Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisors and other team members
- Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements
- Instruct patients' families or nursing staff in follow-through programs
- Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition
Requirements
- Graduate of a master's level program in Speech Language Pathology accredited by Education Standards Board or whose practice meets ASHA certification requirements
- Meet the education and experience requirements for Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA
- Minimum of six months of experience working as a speech therapist/speech language pathologist with an adult and geriatric population
- Current and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are rendered
- Current CPR certification

Salary Range
The estimated salary for this position is between $38 and $65 per hour, based on national averages and local cost of living factors. We offer competitive compensation packages that take into account your skills, experience, and qualifications.
