Suppression Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Suppression Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform service and repairs on various fire suppression systems, including Simplex and ANSUL.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
  • Manage daily service calls, customer activity, and program system products.
  • Work with clean agent systems, dry chemical systems, and special hazards.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in fire suppression systems service and repair.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding customer-facing service and problem-solving skills.
  • PC skills, including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • FEL-A certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturer certifications, such as ANSUL or Kiddie PyroChem.
  • RMEI and multi-license certifications.
  • Valid US driver's license.
