About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Waters Corporation. As a key member of our Systems and Mechanical Engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing innovative products that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new mechanical systems and products, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Develop and maintain detailed design specifications, including 2D and 3D CAD files, to ensure accurate and efficient product development.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project leads to identify and prioritize design requirements, ensuring that products meet customer needs and industry standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot design issues to ensure high-quality products.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design notes, test plans, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in a development environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, including Unigraphics/SolidWorks or equivalent tools.
  • Experience with PDM and change process management.
  • Strong understanding of physics and mechanical engineering disciplines, including thermal, structural, and fluid principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
