Yard Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Yard Worker to join our team at Aerotek, a leading provider of career opportunities across North American industry.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Markham, Illinois. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and photographing damaged vehicles, ensuring all data is accurately recorded.

• Evaluate and photograph damaged vehicles in the yard, taking 10-15 images of each car's damages.
• Manage supplies, including steel toe boots, and ensure they are available for use throughout the day.
• Work out of a supply cart, using a questionnaire on a mobile tablet to evaluate wrecked vehicles.
• Scan vehicle stock numbers and VIN numbers to ensure information matches.
• Determine if the car can start, run, or drive, and take necessary actions to prepare it for auction.
• Jump-start vehicles and apply crash tape as required.
• Install window covers and secure items left in vehicles in their trunks.
• Take accurate photos of the vehicles and double-check for accuracy.

• Steel toe boots
• Ability to read and write
• Valid driver's license
• Automotive mechanical experience (an asset)

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering a competitive salary range of $18.00-$19.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly. Additional benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, health advocacy, employee assistance programs, and access to our 401(k) plan.
