Cando Rail and Terminals Inc. is currently looking for a skilled Track Maintainer to join their team in Canada. This position comes with a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $125,000 per year.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the daily maintenance of the rail infrastructure at the customer site, adhering to established standards. This role involves working collaboratively with a team to maintain a safe working environment and provide solutions to improve safety.

The ideal candidate will have excellent teamwork skills, strong customer service skills, and a demonstrated ability to read and write general documentation. They will also have a strong understanding of equipment, standard operating practices, and regulations governing FRA guidelines relating to Track Maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily work projects and job briefings to ensure effective communication among team members.
  • Conduct track / switch inspections and perform general repairs / maintenance as required using various hand tools and operating a range of track construction equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and perform regular maintenance of all crossings and flangeways; coordinate snow clearing and removal programs.
  • Ensure that all tools and small machines are kept in good working order and that employees are supported in carrying out their daily activities.
Qualifications
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in track construction and/or track maintenance.
  • Minimum two (2) years in a supervisory or leadership position.
  • Background in engineering, design, and construction is preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude is an asset.
  • Valid driver's license, FRA certification, TIGS (or the ability to obtain and maintain).
