Job Title: Direct Support Professional 3

Bridgewell is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional 3 to join our team. As a key member of our residential care team, you will provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in a Level 3 residential program.

Job Summary:

The Direct Support Professional 3 will provide daily support and supervision to individuals who require assistance with activities of daily living, skills training, and community integration. This role requires a strong commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities to live safe, self-directed, and productive lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide support and assistance with skills training in all activities of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  2. Create opportunities for individuals to make decisions and develop their skills, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  3. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, and CARF, as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.
  4. Provide medical, clinical, and financial support to individuals, as needed.
  5. Transport and accompany individuals to medical, recreational, and other activities outside the program.
  6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation, as required by regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies.
  7. Assist individuals in accessing community resources and recreational opportunities.
  8. Administer medications, as applicable, and maintain required certifications, including FA/CPR, PABC, and MAP.
  9. Develop positive relationships with guardians, family members, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree or DSP certification preferred.
  2. Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental or psychiatric disabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  2. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  3. Valid driver's license and minimum 1 year of driving experience.
  4. Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft products and web-based applications.
Physical Demands:
  1. Frequent climbing of stairs.
  2. Lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
  3. Regular driving and meeting driving record requirements.
  4. Normal range of eyesight and hearing.
