Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Northern Arizona Healthcare Corporation. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic studies and therapeutic treatments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care
    • Obtain patient history and provide education on procedures and treatment options.
    • Position patients appropriately for radiographic procedures.
    • Perform radiographic procedures and analysis according to departmental guidelines.
    • Develop and evaluate radiographic results for technical quality.
  • Modality Specific
    • Perform nuclear medicine procedures, demonstrating competence in invasive/interventional procedures.
    • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic studies and therapeutic treatments.
    • Operate imaging equipment and technology to track and record radiation within the patient's body.
  • Quality
    • Adhere to regulatory and organizational standards affecting patient care and safety.
    • Perform and evaluate equipment quality control measurements.
    • Assure efficient operation of workflow and monitor inventory of supplies and materials.
  • Education
    • Participate in creating and sustaining a learning environment supported by evidence-based practice and research.
    • Focus on personal development areas and engage in professional/collegial interactions with peers and students.
  • Compliance/Safety
    • Stay current with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies.
    • Ensure certifications and licenses are up-to-date and valid.
    • Report safety-related incidents and attend safety-related training programs.
Requirements
  • Associates of Applied Science degree in Radiologic Technology with NMTCB Certification (or) Graduation from an Accredited Nuclear Medicine Certificate Program with NMTCB.
  • NMTCB and/or ARRT certification.
  • BLS (American Heart Assoc.) certification.
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card application number and clearance card (for NAHMG Clinic-Based Staff).
