Role Summary and QualificationsAs a Registered Endoscopy Nurse, you will play a crucial role in fulfilling the mission and vision of our facility by applying the nursing process in planning, executing, and assessing the care provided to surgical and gastrointestinal patients during their procedures. You will ensure safe and effective nursing care until the patient is transitioned to recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate proficiency in surgical and gastrointestinal procedures, overseeing instrument and equipment preparation.
- Coordinate and manage the operating room during procedures.
- Facilitate smooth transitions between different procedures.
- Maintain and update preference cards as needed.
Qualifications for this position include:
- A Nursing Diploma.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room environment, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
- A valid RN license or appropriate compact licensure.
- Current BCLS Certification; online certifications are not acceptable.
- ACLS certification as required by the facility.
- CNOR/SGNA certification is preferred.
