Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Airport Operations Supervisor to join our team at the City and County of San Francisco. As a key member of our airport operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, secure, and efficient operation of the airside area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Airfield Safety Officers and oversee the daily operations of a 24/7 section
  • Coordinate airside activities with various Federal, State, and local agencies, as well as other airport departments, tenants, and agencies
  • Proactively lead collaterals to enhance the department and respond to emergencies involving airport activities
  • Act as Airside Operations' liaison during V.I.P. operations and prepare informational and operational briefings
  • Interpret and enforce Airport Rules and Federal Regulations, and conduct basic investigation of infractions
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and four years of safety and/or security operations experience at an airport, airbase, airline, or military base
  • Thorough knowledge of CFR Part 139, Part 77, FAA Advisory Circulars 150 series, and incident management from an Airport/Airside/Airfield Operations perspective
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and ability to work independently and adapt to new situations
