About the Job

This role is a 12-week assignment that requires certification in Radiography and involves assessing patients and performing routine radiographic procedures safely and accurately. The successful candidate will have successfully completed a Radiologic Technology program and have 2 years of experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
  • Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate patient care
  • Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding
  • Operate imaging equipment to complete procedures according to protocol
  • Review patient images to ensure diagnostic quality standards are met
  • Perform quality control procedures and notify/remediate as necessary
  • Assist with departmental operations, including inventory, staff schedules, and equipment maintenance
Requirements
  • Completion of a Radiologic Technology program in an AMA-approved school
  • 2 years of experience in Radiologic Technology
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current license in the state of practice
  • Advanced level certification(s) in specific additional modalities
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a patient care area, with exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent must be able to work efficiently and calmly under pressure and have strong interpersonal skills.
