This position is temporary, anticipated to last approximately six months, with the potential for extension. The role will follow a hybrid work model.

As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will be instrumental in supporting our Alternative Finance fund accounting division by managing financial data for our secondary investment funds with precision and efficiency. This role offers invaluable hands-on experience in fund accounting operations, financial analysis, and reporting within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and review of NAV packages, waterfalls, and financial statements.
  • Review capital calls and distributions to investors.
  • Calculate and maintain fund performance metrics.
  • Support the team during internal and external audits, as well as regulatory examinations by preparing necessary documentation.
  • Contribute to special projects assigned by the fund accounting team, which may involve research and data analysis.
  • Engage with other internal teams and external parties to complete ad hoc projects assigned by the fund accounting team, including investor requests.
  • Collaborate with fund administrators in preparing and processing wire payments.
  • Oversee daily cash reconciliation to monitor fund cash activity.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; a Master's degree and/or CPA is advantageous.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in fund accounting (either in-house or at an administrator) and/or public accounting with private equity clients is required; a blend of both is preferred.
  • Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail, with the capacity to interpret and process complex financial data accurately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
