Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a COTA, you will play a crucial role in the rehabilitation and care of patients with various physical, mental, or emotional conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care Execution: Execute therapeutic plans designed to help patients, teaching them how to use adaptive equipment, guiding them through exercises, and engaging them in activities crucial to their recovery and improvement.
  • Activity and Program Planning: Contribute to the planning and selection of therapeutic activities tailored to individual needs and interests, applying creative and practical approaches to meet therapeutic objectives.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and document patient progress, observing changes in performance and behavior, and reporting these observations to the occupational therapist to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and their families about the therapy process, the use of adaptive equipment, and home modifications, providing clear instructions and support to ensure therapeutic practices are continued at home.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current license/certification in the state of practice
