About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Patient Financial Navigator to join our team at Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute. As a key member of our financial services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring our patients receive seamless and compassionate care.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and collect patient financial responsibilities, ensuring accurate and timely billing.
  • Update patients' insurance benefits in our electronic medical records system and review services for diagnosis and insurance coverage appropriateness.
  • Perform daily tasks related to managed care and patient financial navigation.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a clinical or business office environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Insurance knowledge, including medical terminology, managed care authorization, ICD9 and CPT codes, and collection experience.
