High-Performance Fleet Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team at US Foods, Inc. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
About the RoleAs a Fleet Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of fleet road equipment, ensuring compliance with federal trucking regulations. You will also be required to maintain detailed maintenance logs and perform road rescue as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical issues with diesel equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles to ensure optimal performance and extend lifespan
- Document all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability in a timely and accurate manner
- Handle road service calls and perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- 3 years of commercial Diesel mechanic or reefer experience OR 2 years of Diesel Mechanic exp with TK or Refrigeration certification
- Demonstrated expertise in diagnostic and troubleshooting competencies relating to equipment repairs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and drivers
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs
We offer a competitive salary of $26.00 per hour, as well as benefits starting day one, including medical, dental, vision, 401K, and life insurance. Eligible new hires will receive a $5,000 retention bonus.
