Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Technician to join our team at Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Winsted, CT. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to production and systems quality, administrative systems of certified operator/inspector program, inspection, and internal special processes within the Winsted operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate and source inspection and product release, reviewing customer purchase orders and specifications for compliance as part of the DSQR/Product Release Agent.
  • Administer the certified operator/inspector program, including training, testing, and auditing.
  • Investigate and document certified operator findings and issue appropriate corrective action/written reports.
  • Maintain drawing and specifications for the Winsted plant, record retention files, and quality records for the plant.
  • Maintain document revision history, including archive database.
  • Input MRB data entry.
  • Provide training on quality issues/programs as needed.
  • Disposition and submit MRB parts.
  • Support administration responsibilities of RMD data entry and Data Myte/SPC collection issues as needed.
  • Support administration responsibilities of master shop floor router changes and drafting department (operation sheet instructions) as needed.
  • Follow policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Perform all other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, quality auditor certification a plus.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
