Athletic Trainer

Join Intermountain Healthcare as an Athletic Trainer - Hand Surgery Specialist and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care in our Spanish Fork Hospital location.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Athletic Trainer to join our team. As an Athletic Trainer - Hand Surgery Specialist, you will work closely with our Sports Medicine Physician to evaluate and treat musculoskeletal injuries and sports-related injuries. Your expertise will be essential in developing exercise programs that address patient goals and modifying therapy and treatment needs in consultation with the physician or physical therapist.

• Assess patients to determine modifications of therapy and treatment needs in consultation with the physician or physical therapist.
• Develop exercise programs that address patient goals and modify therapy and treatment needs as necessary.
• Demonstrate and help patients execute prescribed therapeutic exercises per physician protocols or physical therapist directions.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and educate patients regarding exercise programs, health needs, and risks.
• Coordinate care with other patient care providers as appropriate and complete documentation including reports, treatments, intake forms, and message logs.
• Clean, maintain, and inspect exercise equipment and report repair and maintenance needs.
• Actively engage in marketing and community educational programs and provide Certified Athletic Trainer services as assigned.

• Current license as an Athletic Trainer in the state of practice.
• National athletic trainer certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• Experience in a variety of computer programs including databases, word processing, and internet.

This role is based in our Spanish Fork Hospital location and requires a 40-hour workweek. We offer a competitive hourly rate of $25.58 - $39.49, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package that covers a wide range of programs to foster a sustainable culture of wellness.
