The Learning Experience - Corporate Childcare Centers seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive. With a passion for early childhood education, you will be responsible for supporting teachers in implementing our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum.
Salary: $18.25-$22.50/hour
About the Role:
As an Assistant Teacher, your primary responsibility will be to support teachers in creating a stimulating and welcoming space for children. You will assist in implementing our curriculum, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and building strong relationships with families. Your exceptional communication skills will enable you to effectively collaborate with colleagues and provide regular updates to parents on their child's progress. With a growth mindset and a heart for making a difference in children's lives, you will inspire a lifelong love of learning and foster a sense of community within our center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with teachers to create a supportive and engaging classroom environment.
- Support the implementation of our L.E.A.P. Curriculum, adapting your approach to meet the individual needs of Infants, Toddlers, and/or Preschool children.
- Prioritize a safe and nurturing environment, always putting the well-being of children first.
- Collaborate with center staff and leadership to drive retention, enrollment, and engagement goals.
- Bid farewell > build warm relationships with families and colleagues, fostering an environment where learning and play coexist effortlessly.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: High School Diploma/GED required; ECE coursework preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in childcare or a demonstrable passion for early childhood education is preferred.
- State Compliance: Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role.
- Caregiving Skills:
- Proven judgment to identify and address potential risks in a childcare setting.
- Ensure that children are safe and their everyday needs are met, including diapering, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Model and encourage good social skills, such as strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Keep children active, entertained, and engaged in developmentally appropriate activities.
- Demonstrate high levels of composure, patience, and professionalism at all times.
