Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and innovate advanced power conversion systems and EMI filter products.
  • Generate comprehensive electrical circuit schematic diagrams and component lists.
  • Perform component stress analyses and compute Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF).
  • Oversee debugging and design verification testing of prototypes.
  • Conduct thorough analytical design evaluations and collaborate on product mechanical design.
  • Develop power conversion products, including Transformers, Power Distribution Units, and Isolation Transformers.
  • Manage the creation and upkeep of essential engineering documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with the New Product Introduction team to facilitate seamless project transitions and testing phases.
  • Provide technical assistance to the sales team during the bidding process and engage with marketing on new product initiatives.
  • Deliver technical presentations to management and technical personnel.
  • Guide and mentor junior members of the engineering team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in development activities focused on electronic power conversion products, with a proven history in switch-mode power supply designs.
  • Expertise in design tools such as PSpice and Mathcad.
  • Experience in addressing EMC challenges and, ideally, in high-frequency magnetic component design and microcontroller circuits for power electronics.
  • Practical experience with RF design and EMC troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with agency compliance standards (UL, CSA, VDE, CE).
  • Strong leadership skills to drive project tasks and ensure timely completion.
