Job Summary

MedStar Health is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team of medical professionals. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform CAT Scan Radiology studies, obtaining patient history and explaining routine procedures to ensure patient comfort and understanding.
  • Operate CT scanners, performing techniques and examinations, including abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, obstetrics and gynecology scans, radiation therapy localization for treatment planning, and minor surgical procedures.
  • Request and order supplies as necessary to maintain a well-stocked inventory.
  • Review and evaluate completed tests for quality, completeness, and type of test ordered, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Select and operate equipment as directed, transporting patients to the CAT Scan room and preparing the room for daily activities.
Requirements:
  • Training in computer-assisted tomography.
  • CT experience or completion of a certified CT program.
  • ARRT or NMTCB license with required paperwork to perform diagnostic CTs on file with the state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
