Job Summary:

The Crib Technician is responsible for the logistics, tracking, and documentation of customer-owned gauges within the customer's facility. This role is an entry-level position on the first shift.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow all documented procedures.
  • Assist with customer service at the crib counter.
  • Perform minor calibrations to gages.
  • Replace gages due for certification with current certified gages.
  • Update calibration tracking system with gage status.
  • Issue gages according to the gage card assignment.
  • Set gages when applicable according to the gage card specifications.
  • Issue gage set-ups within the allotted time.
  • Ensure gages are clean, functioning, and protected before issuing.
  • Return gages to their proper storage and update the gaging system.
  • Ensure the Gage Crib areas are 5S maintained.
  • Report cert due gages and concerns daily.
  • Perform all work according to contracted quality standards for processes and procedures.
  • Perform all work according to customer's safety and operational standards.
  • Perform other crib duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements:

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent (required). Basic gaging knowledge (Calipers, OD mic, and ID mic) and Mechanical aptitude are desired. Attention to detail, excellent time and document management skills, and the drive to complete and follow through for completeness are required, as is the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-changing work environment.
