Custodian - Maintenance Specialist

The Monona Grove School District is seeking a qualified Custodian to serve as a floater for the district. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the district's various school buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Secure building and check all mechanical areas as assigned.
- Coordinate the set-up and take-down of special programs.
- Perform minor routine maintenance to the building and mechanicals, and report any problems to the building service employee.
- Perform custodial duties.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of all cleaning materials, problems, and procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to maintain positive communication and relations with staff, students, and the public.
- Ability to lift heavy objects for an extended period.
- Ability to read and follow directions.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience in maintenance, grounds keeping and cleaning of a medical, industrial and/or educational facility preferred.
Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $20.57 per hour and this position is eligible for full benefits through Monona Grove School District.
