AECOM is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Transportation Engineer to join our team in Cleveland, OH. As a key member of our transportation team, you will have the opportunity to work on high-profile projects, including the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor project, one of the largest highway infrastructure projects in the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
  • Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
  • Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
  • Propose approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
  • Identify discrepancies in results.
  • Provide guidance to entry-level engineers.
  • Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
  • Independently perform all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • BS in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • 4+ years of related experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Ohio or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire if current PE is out of state.
  • Computer skills using Microsoft office, HCS, Synchro, HISSM, AutoCAD, and MicroStation preferred. Strong familiarity with InRoads a plus.
  • Prior experience working on traffic safety design projects preferred.
  • Individuals with related experience in traffic signal design, traffic control, traffic crash analysis, traffic studies, or roadway design will also be considered.
  • Prior experience working with the Ohio Department of Transportation is a plus.
