Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the State of California Department of State Hospitals – Patton. As a Senior Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

About the Role

The Senior Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing direct patient care, including conducting thorough assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

You will also be expected to participate in quality improvement initiatives, provide education and training to staff members, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to patient care.

Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess a valid license to practice as a professional registered nurse in the State of California and completion of the requirements for Nurse Practitioner as specified in the regulations of the Board of Registered Nursing.

A strong understanding of forensic psychiatry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.

Working Conditions

This position requires working in a variety of settings throughout the hospital, including potentially working overtime and floating to other locations as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $125,000 - $135,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
