Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Unit at WellStone, North Alabama's most comprehensive behavioral healthcare provider. As a part-time nurse on this unit, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team to provide high-quality care to individuals ages 12-18 experiencing mental health crises.

The ideal candidate will have a valid Alabama State License, at least two years of nursing experience, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. About the Role

This part-time position involves working Saturday and Sunday nights, with a sign-on bonus available for qualified new hires. Your responsibilities will include conducting vital signs, participating in treatment planning, preparing discharge planning, and providing basic living skills to patients. You will also be expected to assess medication side effects, perform crisis intervention techniques as needed, and administer injections while maintaining accurate documentation in electronic medical records. Additionally, you will interface with local laboratories to obtain test results, answer telephones, and ensure required training is up-to-date.
