We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to nuclear medicine procedures, including ordering, preparing, and storing radiopharmaceuticals, administering intravenous or venous line injections of radiopharmaceuticals, and interacting with physicians to adjust diagnostic studies.
Key Responsibilities- Perform all established nuclear medicine procedures, including calibration and quality checks, while practicing radiation safety and observing universal precautions.
- Order, prepare, and store radiopharmaceuticals, and administer intravenous or venous line injections of radiopharmaceuticals as authorized by physician.
- Interact with physicians to adjust diagnostic studies program/plan.
- Manipulate raw data, review studies for correct positioning and overall quality, and perform decontamination procedures.
- Participate in on-call duties and/or work variable shifts to meet department needs.
- Graduate from an Accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
- Certification by CNMT or ARRT in Nuclear Medicine licensure.
- Basic Life Support Certification.
- Ability to perform Nuclear Medicine procedures following accepted standards and protocols.
