We are seeking a skilled Progressive Care Unit Nurse to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a PCU Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Job SummaryThe ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and be certified in ACLS, BLS, and NIH. You will be responsible for monitoring and adjusting specialized equipment, administering medications, and providing basic bedside care to critically ill patients.
Responsibilities- Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients
- Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs
- Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients
- Initiate corrective action when information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology
- ACLS, BLS, NIH certification
- 2 years of recent acute care experience
Please note that additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
