Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' charts, medication regimens, and test results to identify potential health risks and develop effective care plans.
  • Monitor and track patients' vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry measurements, to ensure timely interventions and prevent complications.
  • Interpret measurements from specialized medical equipment and perform diagnostic assessments to inform treatment decisions.
  • Administer prescribed medication and perform titration of drug doses as needed, ensuring accurate and safe medication management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare specialists to develop and implement individualized care plans, addressing patients' unique needs and goals.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and address any concerns or questions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including ward charts, patient files, and medical records, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and support nursing assistants and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient unit operations.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ASN/BSN)
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in a progressive care unit or similar healthcare setting
  • License/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and RN license in a State or compact state

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support

Language: English (en-US)
