We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Bashas' Food City. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for executing day-to-day operations in our Meat and Seafood departments, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order, cut, grind, slice, weigh, wrap, and label meat products according to quality, quantity, product freshness, and food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Control product shrinks and inventory expenses through proper handling, cutting, trimming, and wrapping techniques.
  • Sell products by providing customers with excellent and helpful product information.
  • Operate meat department tools and equipment, including knives, saws, wrapping machines, tenderizers, patty makers, grinders, while meeting meat department safety standards.
  • Understand the importance of correctly using and monitoring product pricing, signage, and placement.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly meat counter, work areas, meat service cases, and self-service cases.
  • Assist with the preparation of ready-to-go meat products.
  • Slice, weigh, and merchandise prepared deli meats and cheeses.
  • Display goods following deli department and/or merchandising guidelines.
  • Take customer orders, ensuring orders are completed on time and to the customer's satisfaction.
  • Safety-sensitive position.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
