Who You Are
Contributes to the project team by providing insights to identify critical success factors, timing for design and procurement deliverables, and establishing standardized work breakdown structures.
Leads the development of organizational frameworks and processes necessary for the effective execution of HVAC services, ensuring accountability for service quality, subcontractor performance, and construction costs.
Assesses HVAC service execution for adherence to contracts, design specifications, schedules, budgetary constraints, and quality standards, advising the project team on status, challenges, impacts, risks, and cost-related factors affecting ongoing scope.
Monitors the execution of safety orientations, safety training sessions, and team meetings, providing guidance for improvement. Oversees crew organization, including sizing, crew mix ratios, and wage compliance.Reviews and manages cost and labor budgets for the installation process and formulates a plan for staffing, facilities, equipment, and tool requirements.
This role will require travel between various facilities.
Key Responsibilities
As an HVAC Operations Manager, you will:
Assist in Project Planning:
Provide valuable input to the project team to identify key success factors, appropriate timing for design and procurement deliverables, and help establish standardized work breakdown structures.
Provide Leadership:
Direct the creation of organizational structures and processes necessary for the effective execution of HVAC services, ensuring all team members are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
Manage HVAC Service Execution:
Supervise the execution of HVAC services, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, design specifications, schedules, budgetary constraints, and quality standards.
Evaluate and Advise:
Continuously assess the progress of HVAC service execution, advising the project team on status, challenges, potential impacts, risks, and cost-related factors of ongoing scope.
Monitor Safety Practices:
Oversee the implementation of safety orientations, safety training sessions, and team meetings, providing coaching to enhance safety practices among the crew.
Oversee Crew Organization and Compliance:
Monitor the organizational structure of the crew, including sizing, crew mix ratios, and compliance with wage regulations.
Manage Costs and Budgets:
Review and oversee the cost and labor budget for the HVAC installation process, making necessary adjustments to remain within financial limits.
Develop Resource Plans:
Create plans for staffing, facilities, equipment, and tools required to meet project needs, ensuring effective allocation and utilization of resources.
Maintain Quality Control:
Implement and uphold quality control measures to ensure that all installations and repairs meet or exceed established standards.
Facilitate Team Communication:
Ensure clear and consistent communication within the team and with other project stakeholders to keep everyone informed and aligned on project goals and updates.
Enhance Crew Performance:
Identify areas for improvement within the crew's performance and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in operations.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or
GED:
Required as a basic educational foundation.
Technical or Vocational Training:
Advanced training from a technical school or community college in HVAC systems is highly recommended.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Must possess an active U.S Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. Willingness to take a polygraph and upgrade clearance as required.
HVAC Experience: 5+ years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
Supervisory Experience: 3+ years of experience managing teams in an HVAC setting, overseeing projects, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
