We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Senior Therapist and Social Worker to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral Health and Integrated Pain (BHIP) service, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive mental health services to our patients.
Job Description
Job Title: Senior Therapist and Social Worker for Veterans
Job Summary: The Senior Therapist and Social Worker will provide advanced level psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation to Veterans with complex mental health needs. This position will work closely with the interdisciplinary treatment team to provide comprehensive care and support services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments, including screening for mental health symptoms, psychosocial acuity, and treatment needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and Veterans' goals.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling, as well as advanced level psychotherapy and case management services.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to provide comprehensive care and support services.
- Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and progress.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new programs and services.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited program.
- Current licensure or certification as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) or licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW).
- At least 2 years of experience in a mental health setting, with at least 1 year at the GS-11 level.
- Ability to provide advanced level psychotherapy and case management services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
