About This Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced RN Healthcare Facility Surveyor to join our team at Impact Recruiting Solutions. As a surveyor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of care and services provided by healthcare facilities across the country.

Compensation Package

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary range of $75,000 - 90,000 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes flexible paid vacation days, paid holidays, company-paid health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, and disability insurance. You will also have access to an employee retirement plan (401k) with a generous match and immediate vesting, as well as a company-paid tax-free Health Savings Account (HSA).

Responsibilities

As a RN Healthcare Facility Surveyor, your primary responsibility will be to conduct on-site surveys of Medicare-Medicaid certified healthcare facilities to determine compliance with Federal regulations. Your duties will include:

  • Conducting thorough preparations before each survey, including off-site review and tour of the facility.
  • Observing care delivery, reviewing records, and interviewing staff and families to assess compliance with Federal requirements.
  • Evaluating various aspects of the healthcare facility system, including quality of care, consumer rights, and physical plant.
  • Communicating non-compliance issues with key personnel throughout the site review and during the exit conference.
  • Determining whether plans of correction are acceptable and conducting follow-up visits and monitoring surveys to ensure implementation of corrective actions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • An Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Successful completion of CMS's Long-Term Care Basic Training and passing of the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT).
  • At least two years of recent experience working as a surveyor accrediting or certifying facilities serving long-term care residents.
  • Maintenance of current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Demonstrated independent decision-making skills to direct and manage the survey process.
  • Able to travel up to 75% of the time on a regular basis.
