Nuclear Medicine Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in Mission Viejo, California.
Job SummaryThe Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for preparing radiopharmaceutical agents and administering them to patients prior to using a scanner or camera to capture images. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience and possess strong technical skills, as well as excellent communication and patient care skills.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceutical agents to patients
- Operate the scanner or gamma scintillation camera
- Perform procedures, including injecting radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a radiologist
- Provide assistance to patients during procedures
- Ensure a safe environment for patients and staff by following safety and radiation disposal procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
- 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- ARRT (N) National Certification with registration in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB-CNMT
- State-specific licensing when required
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
