Speech-Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Vista, CA. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students improve their communication skills, enabling them to succeed academically and socially.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students with speech and language disorders.
  • Provide direct therapy services in both individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy strategies into classroom and home environments.
  • Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and student outcomes.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing input and recommendations for students' speech and language goals.
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and educational staff.
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
