Maintenance Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Director to join our team at Brookdale Senior Living. As a key member of our community operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and repair of our buildings and grounds, as well as overseeing the maintenance staff.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and manage the maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance.
- Implement preventative maintenance programs and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes, regulations, and company policies.
- Coordinate with engineering contractors and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs and maintenance.
- Conduct regular inspections of life safety systems, including fire extinguishers and sprinkler systems.
- Prepare and follow approved budgets, track utility consumption, and maintain inventory control for general supplies, parts, and equipment.
- Assess and resolve plumbing and electrical problems, and review safety data sheets (SDS) as requested.
- Respond to resident or community emergencies and maintain office, shops, and mechanical areas to company standards.
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, and a minimum of three to five years of related experience and/or training.
- Valid state driver's license required for vehicle travel, as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
As a Maintenance Director at Brookdale Senior Living, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $83,230 per year.
