As a Long Term Acute Care Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to patients requiring prolonged medical attention.
- Manage care for 5-6 patients simultaneously.
- Adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Handle multiple admissions and discharges efficiently.
- Administer medications via various routes including oral, subcutaneous, and IV.
- Educate patients and their families regarding surgical procedures and illness management.
- Monitor and operate specialized medical equipment, recording and interpreting data.
- Analyze telemetry readings and communicate any irregularities to the medical team.
- Perform all duties expected of a registered nurse consistently.
- Care for patients with conditions such as pulmonary hypertension, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, and atrial fibrillation.
- Utilize computer systems to track cardiac and vital signs.
- Initiate IVs, draw blood, and oversee patient care from admission to discharge.
