Job Title: Environmental Scientist II

At Yulista Holding LLC, we are seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist II to join our team. As an Environmental Scientist II, you will play a critical role in collecting, synthesizing, and documenting data from investigated areas, assisting in the preparation of project documentation, and providing field support as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct and oversee site inspections, assessments, investigations, and cleanups in accordance with state and federal regulatory guidelines.
  • Work with environmental technicians and other technical staff in data collection, site inspection/investigation, and evaluation of data collected.
  • Prepare technical evaluations of investigated sites using RCRA guidelines.
  • Provide scientific and technical guidance, support, coordination, and oversight to project staff preparing written project documentation.
  • Review and document processes necessary to obtain, develop, and/or update environmental permits, plans, reports, licenses, and other requirements necessary to achieve environmental compliance.
  • Prepare charts or graphs from data samples, providing summary information on the environmental relevance of the data.
  • Determine data collection methods to be employed in site surveys and investigations.
  • Actively participate in creating a positive team environment.
  • Support project planning and RFP responses.
  • Solve challenges for clients.
  • Manage company resources to ensure proper deliverables.
  • Support junior Environmental Scientist staff.
  • Actively participate in a proactive safety culture.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical or Environmental Science.
  • Five to ten years of experience working on environmental projects, or in an environmental analytical laboratory.
  • A broad understanding of federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Familiar with 18 AAC 75 (ADEC Oil and Hazardous Substances and Pollution Control Regulations).
  • Valid state driver's license and qualified to operate a vehicle.
  • Ability to pass drug and background screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in federal government projects highly desired.
  • Hazardous Waste Operation and Emergency Response training preferred.
  • Experience with Health and Safety functions a plus.
