Key Responsibilities- Operate MRI equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients, adhering to strict safety protocols and ensuring the highest image quality.
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Monitor and assess patients during MRI procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures, including patient data, imaging results, and any observed abnormalities.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze images, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Perform routine maintenance on MRI equipment, troubleshooting any issues and coordinating with technical support as needed.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment and radiation dosimeters.
- Provide patient care by recognizing and responding to emergency situations during imaging procedures.
- Strong understanding of MRI imaging procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Proficiency with computers and radiology information systems (RIS) for accurate data entry and image management.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and positioning patients, operating MRI equipment, and standing for extended periods.
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) with a specialization in MRI (ARRT-MR).
- Active [STATE] Radiology Technologist License in good standing.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Tech - MRI or in a similar role.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Experience with EPIC or similar charting systems.
