Patient Care Duties:
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations, gather medical histories, and conduct therapeutic procedures within a primary care environment, adhering to established care standards.
- Develop a suitable care plan based on physical assessments, patient histories, and clinical findings, collaborating with other healthcare providers as necessary.
- Communicate follow-up information to patients regarding tests and procedures, in line with organizational policies.
- Identify and report critical information that requires immediate attention, ensuring appropriate follow-through.
- Write orders for diagnostic tests, referrals, and medications as needed.
- Address patient inquiries and clarify concerns related to medications, dietary needs, activities, and overall health status.
- Deliver and advocate for effective and empathetic care for patients and their families.
Documentation Responsibilities:
- Utilize the current Electronic Medical Record system to accurately complete documented Best Practice Workflows.
- Record physical findings and patient responses on appropriate medical documentation.
Organizational Duties:
- Engage in staff meetings and collaborate with colleagues to meet departmental goals, reporting any concerns as they arise.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding employee, legal, client/patient, budget, and all organizational matters.
- Enhance knowledge by participating in educational programs.
Care Coordination:
- Communicate effectively with referring specialists.
- Work collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Make medical diagnoses and initiate therapy or referrals to appropriate healthcare facilities or specialists.
- Coordinate treatment plans with patients and their families.
Professional Expectations:
- Attendance is crucial; employees are expected to arrive on time and complete their scheduled shifts.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Contribute to a positive team environment through effective communication and mutual respect.
- Maintain professional relationships with staff, patients, and visitors at all times.
- Practice workplace safety consistently.
Employee Engagement:
- Actively participate in hospital Service Excellence initiatives and training sessions.
- Attend and engage in at least 50% of departmental staff meetings and review all meeting minutes.
- Complete all required annual training by the designated deadlines.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimal physical effort is required, with occasional light lifting up to 25 pounds; ability to perform tasks primarily using fingers.
- Ability to manage significant mental stress effectively.
- Strong verbal communication skills to express and exchange ideas clearly.
- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
- Proficient in computer usage and familiarity with business machines.
Educational Requirements:
- Medical degree in a relevant specialty or related field.
Experience:
- A minimum of three years of experience as a Physician is preferred.
Licensure and Certification:
- Board Certification in the relevant specialty is preferred.
- Must be licensed as a Physician in the State of New Hampshire.
- Active DEA Registration is required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is mandatory and must be maintained throughout employment.
- ACLS certification is preferred.
