Job Description

**Job Summary**

Tekstrom Inc is seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of our Cloud Central platform. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing web and REST applications using Java, Spring, Python, Shell Script, Bootstrap, CSS, Angular, and JavaScript frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable and supportable infrastructure for our Cloud Central platform.
  • Partner with Big Data development and support teams to understand requirements and develop supporting frameworks in Hadoop.
  • Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, and server configuration diagrams.
  • Meet planned dates and deliverables, and work with big data developers to design scalable supportable infrastructure.
  • Assist with planning infrastructure forecasts and demand management for applications on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining system runbooks.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of IT experience (Front end, Web Development) required with 2+ years' experience around Hadoop related technologies.
  • Experience with Java, J2EE, Python, and web development required.
  • Experience with Data modeling, Data warehouse design, development, Agile/Scrum methodologies, FDD (Feature data driven), TDD (Test Driven Development), Elastic search (ELK), Encryption, Performance tuning, and CI/CD (Continuous integration & deployment) preferred.
  • Understanding of Storage, Filesytem, Disks, Mounts, NFS preferred.
  • Exposure to Sentry, Cloudera Manager, Hive, HBase, Impala preferred.
  • Excellent customer service attitude, communication skills (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in financial services industry preferred.
