This role entails delivering patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in executing designated patient procedures within the scope of your training. You will operate under the general supervision of Registered Nurses, Advanced Practice Nurses, Physician Assistants, or Physicians while providing patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative and clerical tasks to enhance operational efficiency and facilitate effective communication within the department. Manage supply orders and address supply-related issues as necessary. Ensure patient care areas are stocked and maintained appropriately. Address and escalate supply chain challenges as needed. Clean and disinfect patient care environments and equipment. Manage clinical waste disposal in accordance with regulations.
- Conduct basic non-invasive cardiovascular procedures as per departmental guidelines. Ensure accurate and clear recordings by troubleshooting minor issues and making necessary adjustments during procedures, preparing recordings for interpretation.
- Assist in the transportation of monitored and non-monitored patients within the facility. Aid in patient handling and lifting tasks.
- Carry out specimen collection and patient preparation, ensuring proper patient and specimen identification and integrity through appropriate techniques. Label and aliquot specimens according to established protocols and deliver them to the technical area promptly.
- Promote continuity of care by identifying and reporting any abnormalities or changes in patients' health status and responses to treatment.
- Support the Emergency Technician Educator in training and orienting staff and students. Participate in assigned committees and teams. Undertake additional tasks as assigned within your competency.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED, or equivalent practical knowledge. Current C.N.A. license in the state of practice or EMT-1 national certification or higher is mandatory. A minimum of one year of relevant work experience is required. BLS certification is essential. Phlebotomy and Electrocardiography (EKG) training sponsored by the organization must be completed within twelve months of hire or transfer. Preceptor certification is required within six months of hire or transfer. Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with all levels of staff, independent practitioners, patients, and other stakeholders. Attention to detail and adherence to strict safety protocols for handling infectious materials are crucial.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience or training in non-invasive cardiology procedures and additional related education or experience are advantageous.
