Additionally, you will lead during crisis situations to safeguard our guests, team members, and brand reputation.

As a key player in one of the world’s most recognized brands, you will be part of an industry-leading Assets Protection team dedicated to ensuring the safety of our team members, vendors, facilities, and merchandise. The Assets Protection team is responsible for creating a secure environment for all employees and mitigating losses to enhance profitability within a Target distribution center. This will involve promoting a culture of physical security, responding to crisis situations, investigating theft incidents, and educating team members on operational priorities related to shortages.

As an Assets Protection Operations Manager (APOM) within Global Supply Chain, you will lead efforts to maintain a secure workplace for all Target team members, temporary staff, vendors, and visitors in a supply chain facility. You will oversee a team of Target Security Specialists tasked with implementing Assets Protection routines and initiatives aimed at fostering secure environments and safeguarding Target's profitability. Your role will involve supporting building leadership through preparations for security incidents and crisis management, as well as providing real-time support and solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring that routines are effectively executed to identify, investigate, and resolve incidents of theft and fraud. Building strong relationships with law enforcement and community agencies will also be a key aspect of your role.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Assets Protection/Loss Prevention or related retail or warehouse settings
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively in all situations
  • Proven ability to motivate teams and manage conflicts
  • Experience leading the execution of shortage investigations and physical security protocols
